So we tried to go skiing today... I ended up with a concussion and a one way ambulance ticket to the ER! Go me! I don't even remember skiing! :-( Then Adam asks me when we get home if I remember the EMT's name.... Really? lol

Worst play ever! Made me not only want to commit suicide but to kill the people in the play as well. Maybe it was reverent when MLK was alive, but all these years later.... It's BS!

Day 342
So I'm sitting in the bar "The Green Pig" watching the Saints game and the Traveling Wilburys (which was one of Dennis' favorite bands) "It's All Right" came on. This happened just after I was telling Adam how bad I felt that I can't be there Thursday. Think it's DM telling me something? I think so! I can just see him, my Mom, and Lefty sitting up there chatting about baseball! Each one taken from this world too soon! I miss you all!

Day 341
At 1:30 am my time (11:30 pm Alaska time) I got a phone call I'd been dreading... Gary called to tell me that Dennis Mattingly, one of the greatest men I've ever met, had passed away. It is heartbreaking and devastating, but at least we know that the pain he's been suffering with for so long has finally come to and end. I know he's at peace now, and for that I am thankful, but it doesn't stop those of us still here from mourning his loss. I am proud to be able to call DM the GM not only my former boss and mentor, but a friend as well! I will always remember sitting and listening to his stories in the office for hours on end, playing cribbage or bejeweled! I miss you DM!
